白国平，男，1963年5月生于河北省容城县，博士，硕士生导师。1984年毕业于华东石油学院石油地质专业，获学士。现任《古地理学报》编委、《Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering》特约编委、美国石油地质家学会（AAPG）会员。在国外期间，主要从事碎屑岩成岩作用、流体演化史和储层评价研究工作。回国后，主要从事国外含油气盆地、区带和区块石油地质的合评价、全球油气分布以及储层地质学的研究和教学工作。为研究生、本科生主讲双语《全球油气分布》和《专业英语》等课程。获得国家科学技术进步二等奖一次和北京市科学技术一等奖一次，发表第一作者论文20余篇，出版专著一部。

1992年从悉尼大学地质地球物理系获得博士学位。

1992.4-1994.3 在澳洲联邦科学工业组织 (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation - CSIRO) 石油资源研究所做博士后研究。

1994.5-1999.3在美国犹他大学能源地学研究院 (能量 \u0026 地球科学 Institute at University of Utah) 任助理研究员(Assistant Research Professor)。

1999年4月起在石油大学工作。

主要从事盆地石油地质综合研究、区块评价、油气分布和储层评价的研究工作和全球油气分布、储量计算和石油地质的教学工作。
