周林(1959年生于
上海市),美籍华裔经济学家,现任美国
亚利桑那州立大学商学院凯瑞教授,
世界计量经济学会院士,
香港中文大学商学院院长、卓敏经济学教授。1982年毕业于
复旦大学数学系,1989年获得美国
普林斯顿大学经济学博士学位。曾任
耶鲁大学助理教授和副教授,1996年任
杜克大学终身教授。2001年起先后任美国亚利桑那州立大学
亚伯拉罕·林肯教授和凯瑞教授。2006年3月担任上海交通大学经济学院院长,2008年晋升为全校级讲座教授,同年参与创建
上海交通大学上海高级金融学院,并出任创院执行院长。2009年成为第一位在中国大陆高校任职的
世界计量经济学会院士,2010年至2018年担任
上海交通大学安泰经济与管理学院院长。2019年12月出任
香港中文大学商学院院长。
周林的学术研究主要方向为微观经济学理论、机制设计、博弈论和
社会选择理论。2006年获得教育部
长江学者讲座教授。
个人简介
周林教授1982年于
复旦大学任教,1989年获得美国
普林斯顿大学经济学博士学位。先后在
耶鲁大学、
杜克大学和
香港特别行政区城市大学任教,曾在
欧洲、
澳大利亚、
日本和香港多所高校担任访问学者和客座教授。
2009年,周林教授当选
世界计量经济学会荣誉会员(Fellow),成为我国大陆高校首位入选该学会的荣誉会员。
个人履历
周林教授早期研究选举制度和资源配置机制。将经典的Gibbard-Satterthwaith
定理推广到具有公共物品的经济环境中去,解决了一个近二十年没有解决的占优策略机制结构的问题,为后继学者对经济环境中占优策略机制的研究提供了理论基础。九十年代提出了在合作博弈中一个新的解的概念,在后来文献冠名为“周氏议价集”。阐明了
完全竞争经济中议价集并不一定收敛到完全竞争均衡,是对微观经济学
中核集团收敛定理的重要补充。近年来,周林教授和其他两位学者首创的关于博弈论的可验证的结论问题。在各种不同的有限观察的环境中找出博弈论理论的一些可验证的结论。此外,为专业分工理论学派奠定严格的理论基础,与
杨小凯合作证明了在一个有递增回报的完全竞争经济模型中一般均衡的存在性及
福利经济学基本定理。研究成果发表于国际期刊Games and Economic Behavior、Journal of Economic Theory、Economic Theory、Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization等。
个人荣誉
当年,由
邹至庄先生主持、联系,
福特基金会在
中国人民大学和
复旦大学办了三届“福特班”。另,福特基金会还每年资助60名学生去
美国留学,命名为“邹至庄经济学留学计划”,在全国重点高校中选拔佼佼者。如今已成为世界著名经济学家的周林便是当年第一届的第一名。

黄埔军校”,每年有若干来自欧美的著名经济学家和在西方获得经济学博士学位的经济学精英人物前来执教。】
