袁启荣，男，1968年9月1日生。南京师范大学物理科学与技术学院教师。

1993年毕业于北京师范大学天文系，获理学硕士学位, 随后在中国科学院紫金山天文台从事科研工作。 1994年考入北京师范大学天文系天体物理专业攻读博士学位。1997年获得理学博士后分配在南京师范大学物理系从事天体物理和理论物理的教学和科研工作，先后被聘为讲师、副教授、教授、博士生导师。2001年赴美国国立光学天文台（NOAO）留学访问一年。主持了国家自然科学基金项目、教育部留学回国人员启动基金项目、省自然科学基金项目、省教学改革项目，参加了国家重点基础研究发展规划（973）项目子课题、国家自然科学基金重点项目。在国内外专业学术刊物上发表论文五十余篇。
