赵东升
数学家,教育家。
赵东升,男,1958年出生,汉族,陕西人,国际著名的数学家,新加坡南洋理工大学杰出教授,首批获得ISI世界经典引文奖的17位中国数学家之一。
人物简介
1981年毕业于陕西师范大学数学系,次年在我国著名数学家,陕西师范大学王国俊先生指导下攻读拓扑专业硕士学位;
1988年赴英国剑桥大学攻读博士,师从当代拓扑学泰斗,英国著名数学家Peter Johnstone,
1993年获得剑桥大学博士学位。
1994年至今在新加坡南洋理工大学国立教育学院从事教学、研究。
赵东升教授在拓扑学领域有着很深的学术造诣,对世界拓扑学的发展做出了卓越的贡献,读大学时,不仅本科生阶段的毕业论文《函数网上极限函数的连续性》对拓扑空间的极限函数提出了自己的见解,而且在此后研究生的学习阶段(导师王国俊)和教学科研工作中取得了突出的成就,学生时代结束后,他在工作岗位上发光发热,继续为数学这门学科做着自己的贡献。
研究领域
包括拓扑,序理论反常积分及Bair函数类,研究成果卓著,在《Proc. of American Mathematical Society》、《Fundamenta Mathematicae》、《Applied Categorical Structures》、《Canadian Mathematical Bulletin》、《Houstone Journal of Mathematics》、《Rocky Mountain Journal Of Mathematics》、《Quaestiones Mathematicae》,《Comment. Math. Univ. Carolinae》、《Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications》等数学名刊上均有论文发表,由于所发表论文被国外专家学者引用较多,其中一篇论文获2000年ISI世界经典引文奖(Citation Classic Award),是中国首批获此殊荣的17位数学家之一,在国际数学领域享有很高的赞誉。
主要贡献
1987年,赵东升在王国俊先生的重大科技成果“良紧性”的基础上,进一步将良紧性定义在L-FUZZY拓扑空间中,为模糊数学拓扑学构建了一道桥梁,赵东升的这一成果也获得了2000的ISI世界经典引文奖。
1997年,赵东升利用半素理想在完备格上给出了一种作用在点与点之间的新关系,从而定义了半连续格,这对于域理论的发展起到了极大的推进作用。
2010-2014年,主持新加坡国家政府重点项目《新加坡数学评估与教育工程》
2016年,赵东升发表在剑桥大学学报上的《Directed complete poset models of T1spaces》引起全世界研究计算机程序设计语义域理论同行的广泛关注,这篇文章奠定了赵东升在国际域理论和经典拓扑学界的重要地位,也进一步说明了赵东升在域理论的极大点谱空间方面的研究处于国际领先地位。
2017年开始,赵东升开始主持课题《Modern links between topology and order structures via domains》,项目将揭示拓扑结构和域理论之间的更清晰和更深的连接,并可能在这些领域的进一步研究中应用。本课题所做的研究工作和成果将对域理论和拓扑结构的研究产生重大影响。
赵东升教授自1993年剑桥大学博士毕业之后作为新加坡政府人才引进受邀到新加坡南洋理工大学任教,但一直心系国内的数学教育工作,坚持每年至少回国一次参加或组织学术会议并亲自担任大会主席和程序委员会委员等职务,除了自己回国之外,还多次率新加坡教育部的访问团回国进行交流,将国外先进的教育理念和学术思想带回国内。
