真菌病害研究
20年来,王跃进教授先后系统地进行了中国野生葡萄资源抗主要真菌病害研究,筛选出了一批抗病的野生葡萄种和株系,获得了一批中国野生葡萄×
葡萄的F1优系。
野生葡萄研究
研究获得了中国野生葡萄抗白粉病、黑痘病、白腐病、
炭疽病和霜霉病基因的RAPD标记8个,应用于葡萄抗病育种的辅助选择,他将这一研究结果于2002年8月在
多伦多第26届国际园艺学生物技术分会会议上进行了宣读并入选论文集。1998年以来研究获得了无核葡萄胚挽救的适宜亲本、最佳取样时期、珠被处理方式,创新了抗病无核葡萄胚挽救胚发育的培养液,获得胚挽救苗983株,其中无核葡萄×中国野生葡萄胚挽救苗468株,从中选育出大粒无核抗病优系00-3-1,该领域的研究目前居国际先进水平;其中
葡萄无核品种间杂种胚挽救幼苗515株,已从中选育出大粒无核优系00-2-7。研究结果已获得1项国家发明专利,申请国家发明专利1项。对全国最大的酥梨产区陕西渭北生产上出现的梨黄化问题进行了多年研究,获得了治疗黄化的营养液配方及治疗方法,并在此研究基础上,将树干注射技术发展成正常生长果树的一种有效施肥方式,生产应用效果显著。2001年8月以"一种树干注射用复混液体肥料及其制法"申报了国家发明专利,申请号:01130752.8,公开号:1332135。
抗病基因研究
自1999年以来,王跃进教授还进行了中国野生葡萄抗病基因的
克隆及转移研究,采用mRNA差异显示技术获得了中国
葡萄属野生种
华东葡萄株系白河-35-1在
白粉菌科侵染诱导下抗白粉病相关基因的片段22个;在此基础上,运用cDNA末端快速扩增技术克隆了中国野生葡萄抗白粉病防卫基因醛脱氢酶基因3个、芪合成酶基因家族成员4个、
抗坏血酸过氧化物酶基因(APX)1个;获得了中国野生葡萄抗白粉病相关基因cDNA全长序列1个;采用抗病基因
同源序列方法,获得了中国野生葡萄毛葡萄、山葡萄、
秋葡萄、
刺葡萄、
燕山葡萄、
变叶葡萄、菱叶葡萄等11个种及河岸葡萄抗病基因同源类似物(RGAs)
脱氧核糖核酸片段45个,为进一步筛选DNA文库、cDNA文库或采用cDNA末端快速扩增技术获得抗病候选基因奠定基础;同时构建了中国
葡萄属野生种抗白粉病的cDNA文库,已获得ESTs序列35个。
学术成果
先后系统地进行了中国野生葡萄资源抗白粉病的研究,筛选出了一批抗病的野生葡萄种和株系,获得了一批中国野生葡萄×
葡萄的F1优系。1998年以来系统开展了无核
葡萄胚挽救育种研究,将无核葡萄×无核葡萄、无核葡萄×中国野生葡萄等杂交后不能形成种子的幼胚离体条件下培养,从中选育出大粒无核抗病优系00-3-1;其中欧洲葡萄无核品种间杂种胚挽救,已从中选育出大粒无核优系00-2-7。
主持及完成了国家自然科学基金9项、国家“863”项目、国家转基因植物研究与产业化开发专项、教育部"跨世纪优秀人才培养计划"、农业部“948”项目、农业部丰收计划、高校博士点基金、陕西省重大科技攻关项目、“十一五”国家科技支撑计划2项、“十五”科技攻关、国家葡萄产业技术体系岗位科学家项目、公益性行业(农业)农业科研专项。获得国家授权发明专利10项。在国际
GenBank数据库提交与葡萄抗逆、无核有关的基因序列、EST序列等6000多条。
发表论文50多篇,其中SCI论文30篇。

主讲课程
王跃进教授为本科生及硕、博士研究生主讲《果树育种学》、《果树学进展讨论》、《果树种质资源学》和《现代生物技术》等课程。1992年获
西北农林科技大学教学质量评估
优秀奖。自1995年起招收、指导硕士研究生48名,协助指导博士生2名;1999年起招收指导博士生16名,博士后3名。
